In short: which carbon variations exist
Carbon shells arrive pre-design in six colours: white, black, deep blue, grey, burgundy and green. Every other variation is built over that colour — matte or gloss finish, silver or gold plating, lettering and dedication, crown and ornament. The same colour can be used for the Torah case and its matching Haftarah case, which stands at 45%–50% of the Torah case height.

The six shell colours
White — bright and clean; sets off gold plating and dark lettering.
Black — the classic; emphasises the carbon weave itself and the silver or gold contrast.
Deep blue — rich and restrained, common in synagogues with a dark ark.
Grey — neutral and contemporary, works with any metal finish.
Burgundy — warmer and more traditional, close to established fabric and wood cases.
Green — a distinctive choice, usually for special designs or a community emblem.
Finish and design variations
Finish: matte or gloss. Matte hides fingerprints; gloss brings out the depth of the layup.
Plating: silver or gold — for lettering, frames, crown and metal details.
Lettering: community name, verse, dedication or parashah, in the script chosen at order time.
Pairs: the same colour and finish for a Torah case and its Haftarah case, with the Haftarah case at 45%–50% of the Torah case height.
KADOSH³ Carbon Architecture™
Not carbon trim. A carbon structure. The body itself is a carbon-fibre composite engineered from the outset around the requirements of a Torah case.
The new-generation layup is 3K / 12K / 3K: outer 3K plies for a fine, precise surface and a 12K core for structural efficiency.
The layup is vacuum-bagged and autoclave cured through a controlled cycle of heat, vacuum and external pressure. This consolidates the plies and reduces trapped air and internal voids.
Compared with the previous six-ply 6K construction, the new generation reduced body weight by approximately 5%.
After curing the work is manual: flattening, staged sanding, and the final finish — matte or gloss — chosen at order time.
Frequently asked
- Can a colour outside the list be produced?
- The shells themselves are produced in white, black, deep blue, grey, burgundy and green. Other colour requests are checked individually with production before we commit.
- Does the colour change the price?
- The carbon base price is 40,000 ILS and is not driven by colour as such. Dimensions, design complexity, lettering and plating are what move the final figure, which is given in a written quote.
- Can the Haftarah case match the colour?
- Yes, and that is the common order. The Haftarah case is built in the same colour and finish, at 45%–50% of the Torah case height.
