In their memory

A Torah scroll in memory of Israel's fallen

Families, communities and units commissioning a Torah scroll in memory of a soldier fallen in Israel's wars or in a military operation receive a significant discount and priority in our writing queue.

The program is open for IDF and security forces casualties, and for victims of hostile action — at the request of the family, community or unit.

Significant discount

The writing price is reduced beyond our standard discount tiers. The exact rate depends on scroll size, script and tradition, and is stated in writing in the quote — no small print.

Priority in the writing queue

The commission moves to the front of the sofer's queue, so the scroll can be dedicated close to a memorial day, yahrzeit or a date meaningful to the family.

Dedication in the fallen soldier's name

The name, rank, unit and date of death are engraved on the case and recorded in the scroll's certificate, in wording approved by the family.

Family and community guidance

Full guidance throughout: progress updates, coordination of letter dedications for donors, and help preparing the dedication ceremony.

How it starts

  1. 1. Build the scroll in the configurator — tradition, parchment, script, size, sofer and case.
  2. 2. Enter the fallen soldier's name and unit details in the dedication, and note that this is a memorial commission.
  3. 3. We return with a quote that includes the discount and the prioritised timeline.
  4. 4. Once approved, writing begins and you receive updates through to the dedication day.

The discount rate and schedule are set per commission and provided in writing. Nothing on this page constitutes a committed price or delivery date before a quote is approved.
