How to Choose a Torah Case

The measurements you must take, the difference between wood and carbon, and what really determines a fit.

Choosing a case begins with measurements, not design: the height of the scroll, its rolled diameter, and the height of the atzei chaim. A fitting case is one whose internal height and internal diameter exceed the scroll measurements with breathing room. Solid wood gives warmth and presence; carbon fiber gives light weight and durability. If one measurement is missing, do not rely on an estimate.
